4 X 800 M Relay
The Lady Titan’s 4x800m relay team set a new Alexandria City high school record on Wednesday on Day 1 of the 2026 Occoquan Region indoor Track & Field Championship. Their time of 9:19.03 eclipsed the previous school record of 9:37.30 which was set 32 years ago in 1994.Â
Coming into the meet the Lady Titans were ranked 6th out of the 9 team field. Kicking the race off was freshman Dahae Meserole who ran a brilliant lead off leg in a time of 2:26 to put the Titans in 3rd place. She then handed off to junior sprint/middle distance star, Claire Pantuck who equaled her personal outdoor best with a split of 2:14 which gave the Lady Titans a commanding lead! Following Pantuck’s stellar leg was senior captain Linnea Caldwell, who did her part to significantly increase the lead even further with a 2:22 split. Sophomore anchor Sophie Meisner ran a new personal best split of 2:15 to hold off a late charging Robinson team. The NEW school record would also prove to even be faster than the Titan’s outdoor record of 9:24! What a fantastic start to the 2026 indoor regional championships.
