Alexandria City High School continues to build a tradition of excellence in the pool, and junior standout Tobias Damico-Lassman has now etched his name into Titan history with an All-State performance.

Damico-Lassman earned All-State honors following a remarkable showing at the VHSL State Championships, highlighted by his dominant swim in the 100-yard butterfly. Competing against the best swimmers in Virginia, he captured the state title with a time of 49.10 seconds, setting a new school record and solidifying his place among the elite in the state.

His performance was more than just a personal victory—it was historic for the Titans program. Damico-Lassman became the first Alexandria City male swimmer to win an individual state championship, and the first Titan swimmer overall to reach the top of the podium since 2000. This milestone achievement played a key role in earning him All-State recognition.

In addition to his state title, Damico-Lassman has consistently pushed the standard for excellence at Alexandria City, breaking multiple school records, including his own mark in the 100 butterfly and a record in the 200 freestyle. His dedication, discipline, and resilience—overcoming injuries earlier in his career—have made him one of the top swimmers in the region.

Beyond the times and titles, Damico-Lassman is known as a leader and teammate who represents the Titan program with pride. His All-State honor not only recognizes his outstanding performance in the water but also reflects his commitment to elevating Alexandria City swimming to new heights.

With his career still unfolding, Damico-Lassman’s achievement marks the beginning of a new era for Titan swimming—and sets the standard for those who follow.
