Alexandria City High School (ACHS) is beyond excited for our first home varsity football game in the newly renovated Parker-Gray Memorial Stadium on Friday, September 17. We will be unveiling the stadium’s new and improved amenities, including an eight-lane running track, new scoreboard, new (blue) artificial turf, egress safety lighting, new concessions building and restrooms, ticket booth/entrance, and, most notably, lights for the first time in ACHS history.

This stadium represents all of the hard work and collaboration between our city and our school division. Without you, we could not have pulled this off. Thank you so much for your support. As such, I would like to invite you to attend our ribbon-cutting ceremony, which will act as our official grand opening of the stadium.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place this Friday, September 17, at 5:30 PM. During the ceremony, you will hear remarks from Superintendent Gregory C. Hutchings, Jr., School Board Chair Meagan Alderton and Mayor Justin Wilson. The ceremony will be located at the entrance to the stadium. If you are able to attend, you can park in the parking garage, and I suggest you arrive early. The first fans will be let into the stadium at 6:00 PM and our game starts at 7:00 PM.

We hope to see you for Friday Night Lights!
