Titans Athletic Department Internships
This internship program is limited to current T.C. Williams High School Students
The T.C. Titans Athletic Department provides the opportunity for students to work closely with our staff to support the Athletic Department programs in various ways. These opportunities focus on marketing and communications, graphic design, event planning, customer service, sales, concession stand management and fundraising. This is great for students who have an interest in working in sports by giving them the experience they need to potentially get a job as a student manager on the college level.
For the upcoming semester, the Titan Athletic Department is looking for dedicated students who have an interest in working in the sports field. These positions are well suited for students attracted to Sport Management, Event Planning, Marketing, Communications, Fundraising, Editorial and Business but are open to any student who is interested.
Concession Stand Management Internship
Interns will assist in purchasing items, keeping track of inventory, keeping items stocked on shelves, working game nights, and cooking and cleaning the concession stand. Interns will assist volunteer parent workers in following all guidelines and rules of operating the concession stand.
Event Operations Internship
Interns will assist with setting up and working scorer’s table, setting up fields for competition, putting up and taking down signage, assisting with ticket sales, managing pre-game music and working directly with athletic department staff on operating a smooth event.
Photography Internship
Interns will take action shots during sporting events in order to create photo galleries on the athletics website. Photos will be used in social media posts, articles and other athletic department uses.
Sales & Marketing Internship
Interns will assist athletic department in promoting events, increasing students/teachers attendance at games and selling athletic department swag. Interns will also help booster club in fundraising events and selling booster passes.
Social Media Internship
Interns will assist in creating post for the athletic department Twitter and Instagram pages. Interns will create plans to increase followers and figure out ways to get more engagement on the different social media platforms.
Website/Journalism/Graphic Design Internship
Interns will assist in writing stories, updating website and creating graphics for the marketing of our department. Interns will be given freedom to develop plans and projects to enhance their own portfolio and learn about sports journalism.
All interns will gain practical experience by working in a fast paced business environment and learn about one of the most elite high school sports program in the county. The Athletic Department can effectively match a student to a position best suited for their skills as well as provide experience to learn new skills.
